Responsible for the daily oversight of clinical and business operations, collaborates with the Emergency Department leadership, formulates and manages budget and variances, ensures appropriate staffing utilizing industry standards, collaborates with hospital administration to promote quality, customer satisfaction and strategic planning. Provides oversight of the clinical operations of the department. Collaborates with the clinical leadership staff and medical staff regarding clinical operations, business operations and strategic planning. Develops a Master Staff Plan and maintains accountability for 24/7 staffing. Develops a quality plan for the department, monitors indicators, and develops action plans. Promotes and facilitates customer service/satisfaction. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ED experience, BSN preferred or a non-nurse with degree in business administration with healthcare management experience. Five (5) years of management experience. If RN, current license with Georgia Board of Nurse Examiners. ACLS, TNCC, PALS within 6 months of hire for RN personnel. |
