This position reports to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. It is responsible for development, supervision and operation of the Sleep Center and EEG. Providing and ensuring delivery of quality care, assessment and patient management in the Sleep Center and EEG. Assist the Clinical staff with acquisition, scoring and reporting as needed. Coordinate accreditation process and assist with the growth, development and marketing of the Sleep Center. Manage Sleep Center and EEG operations to include staffing, scheduling, reporting, homecare referrals and CPAP clinic. Coordinate and lead the Sleep Center's accreditation process. Maintain clinical competency in all clinical services and ensure quality patient care and clinical outcomes. Develop and maintain department policies, procedures and protocols. Assist with growth, development and marketing of the Sleep Center Services. Ability to manipulate various types of electronic and clinical equipment, adjust and troubleshoot monitoring equipment and computer equipment. Ability to operate specialty equipment related to area of expertise and to perform computer tasks at a user's level. Must possess the ability to comprehend and to interpret complex clinical subject matter related to the specialty. Possesses the knowledge and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Possesses leadership ability, team building, project management, scheduling and staffing. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required. Associates degree in Health Sciences or management preferred. Minimum two (2) years management experience and five (5) years experience in the Sleep Center. Current BLS certification and ACLS certification required. |
