Performs various types of project work, as well as performing daily schedules to maintain the hospital in a clean and aseptic environment. Transports and disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in assigned areas and disposes by compactor or waste trailer 100% of the time to maintain sanitary conditions. Dust mops, wet mops and vacuums all floors and other routine cleaning assignments according to department policy and procedures to maintain the hospital in a clean and attractive manner. Performs projects as assigned according to established procedures as evidenced by project being completed without needing to be redone. Cleans window and walls as assigned according to department policy and procedure and notifies Supervisor of unusual conditions which may affect work schedule as soon as possible so as not to disrupt the operations of the department. Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including equipment and carts in order to be more organized and efficient as evidenced by supervisor's observation. Grade school education or equivalent preferred. |
