Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides instruction to other technologists as needed. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Program, or training meeting American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer standards. Previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is preferred. Experience in other modalities, such as Radiology, Nuclear Medicine or Special Procedures is also preferred. Must be ARDMS registered. |
